We’re making room
Parks has always been a church that has radically trusted in God for our next step. Our heart has always been to embrace, embody and extend God's mission - His love - to West Nashville. As we have followed this mission, God has continued to add to our family. At this point, we are getting full on Sunday mornings. In order for us to continue to be a church that welcomes our neighbors we must “make room”. That's why we are choosing to expand to two services starting on March 15, 2026. These two services will be at 9:00 & 10:30am.
At our 8th Anniversary Service, Eric preached on Jonathan and his courageous faith in the Lord. Jonathan trusted God's power and plan in extremely challenging circumstances and when the next steps were uncertain at best. He trusted God with the results and gave God all the glory! We believe this move to two services is the next step God is calling us to at Parks. Let’s take this step in faith, trusting him with the results and giving him the glory. We long for so many of our neighbors to know our God and experience this sweet church family he has created and sustained for 8 years. Let's make room and invite them in!
If you have not already, please fill out this survey about service times & serving, by February 6th.

Frequently Asked Questions
On March 15th, Parks Church will move to two services - 9am & 10:30am
Leadership & Vision
-
Primarily, this gives us the space we need right now to keep welcoming people. This is a temporary step that meets our current needs, and we’ll evaluate as we go. We’ll continue to discern what long-term growth may look like, but our desire is to land in a space that can accommodate our church family up to around 250-300 and then plant a new congregation!
-
Eric shared several ways to pray and engage in this message—primarily that we would move with unity, faithfulness, and a heart to make room for others. Listen here!
Service times & structure
-
We’re moving to two services to make more room for the people God is bringing into our church family. This allows us to continue welcoming newcomers and giving everyone space to worship, grow, and connect. For more on the heart behind this decision, listen to Eric’s Feb 1st message here.
-
After surveying the congregation in November 2025, our service times were chosen to create a healthy flow for our building, to allow children’s ministry to run smoothly, and to give our volunteer teams enough time to transition well
-
Yes. Both services will offer the same rhythms and timing of worship, sermon, and liturgy.
-
Yes. Our liturgy and pastoral rhythms will continue in each service. We still want Sundays to be a place where you slow down, greet friends, and enjoy community together. We hope you take the 30 minutes in-between services to connect with friends.
-
We’ll have 30 minutes between services to allow for parking, kids check-in, and movement throughout the building. Coffee will still be served as usual in the gathering hall and in the sanctuary. There will be a time of fellowship & simple breakfast items in the gathering hall.
Parking & Arrival
-
Two services should spread attendance across the morning, giving everyone more available parking overall. However, the transition time may be more congested depending on how long the first service members linger and how early 2nd service members arrive for fellowship. Street parking will continue to be our best option for both services!
-
Yes. We’ll provide suggestions based on expected attendance and volunteer needs to help balance. We sent a survey of preferred times the first week of February; however, if services look imbalanced, we may ask some to sacrifice in the short term and come to a different service.
Children’s Ministry
-
Yes, we will be offering children’s classes (same classes and age groups) for both services.
-
Yes. We have plans to gradually grow into this change without taxing volunteers too heavily. For the Spring, volunteers will lead for one service and staff will cover the other service.
-
No. Families can expect the same check-in process they’re used to.
Worship & A/V Teams
-
Yes. Our worship and A/V teams will lead across both services each Sunday.
-
The overall flow will remain consistent from service to service. We anticipate the first service to be shortened slightly to right around an hour. The 2nd service will continue to be 75 minutes max.
Volunteers & Serving Opportunities
-
We’ll need additional volunteers in many areas, and schedules may expand slightly to support this, but we are working hard in the short term not to overtax volunteers. In the long-term we are excited to see new members added to our church family that can also help share the volunteer load.
-
Potentially. Some volunteers may serve more frequently, while others may serve for a longer window on Sundays.
-
Yes! Adding a second service opens up many new opportunities to serve in Children’s Ministry, Worship, A/V, Welcome, and more.
-
We’ll increase the frequency of our volunteer training to onboard and support team members well.
-
Possibly. Some roles may rotate while others may serve at a single service consistently.
Congregational Life & Community
-
We believe unity comes from our shared mission and not from being in the same room at the same time. We didn’t create the sweet family atmosphere in the current service…God did. And we believe He can and will do the same as we take this next step in our journey.
-
Community is built in smaller, intentional spaces—like small groups and serving teams. Groups may even choose to worship and serve together at a specific service.
-
Yes. Shared events, meals, gatherings, and rhythms will continue to bring our whole congregation together. Small groups and other ministries will continue as planned.
Visitors & Newcomers

Our website, printed materials, and Sunday signage will clearly communicate service times and parking options.
